The glasses have a very high lens hardness coefficient value - F for airsoft conditions. This expresses the mechanical resistance of the material. In this case, we are dealing with resistance to the so-called low-energy impact. The lenses are designed to withstand the impact of a steel ball with a diameter of 6 mm, a mass of 0.86 g, moving at a speed of 45 m/s. In normalized terms, this means 0.87 J of kinetic energy.
The optical class of lenses is determined based on their optical parameters. Eye and face protection is divided into 3 classes. Optical class 1 lenses are designed for continuous use (so these glasses can also be used as sunglasses or everyday safety glasses), while class 3 lenses are designed for short-term use.
What is EN166?
The EN166 standard applies to all types of personal eye protection used to protect against various hazards encountered in industry, laboratories, school buildings, DIY, etc., where eye damage or visual impairment may occur, excluding radiation of nuclear origin, X-rays, laser emissions and infrared (IR) radiation emitted by low temperature sources. The specifications of this standard are not applicable to eye protection where separate and complete standards exist, such as laser eye protection, sunglasses for general use, etc., where these standards are relevant to this standard. Eye protectors fitted with corrective lenses are not excluded from the scope. Focusing tolerances and other parameters related to corrective actions are given in ISO/DIS8980-1 and ISO/DIS8980-2.
ATTENTION!
The above product is of the highest quality and has passed the durability tests corresponding to its durability class. The manufacturer guarantees the impact resistance of the hard cases in the resistance class. However, if the product is not used correctly, the use of this protection does not exclude the possibility of personal injury, for example, a ball falling under the protective glass as a result of a ricochet. Therefore, it is recommended to adjust the eye protectors to the individual needs of the user before use. The protective properties of the product may also change as a result of improper use and maintenance of the above product, for example, cleaning the glass with inappropriate preparations. The seller is not liable for any personal injury resulting from improper use of the above product.
