The blade is made of durable 440C steel, which is 4.5 mm thick and is protected by a durable coating. The strong grip between the handle and the blade gives the BUK maximum durability and makes it suitable for very heavy-duty work.
The FRN sheath, also available in sand-colored FDE, can be safely carried in a variety of ways and comes with a belt clip. A lanyard loop protects the knife from loss.
